Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. (Galatians 3:13-14 KJV)
This is a very exciting issue that Paul breaks down in the book of Galatians. I have often heard people referring to how the Jews are successful in every place they go. When they set up businesses they succeed and in many cities they live in the opulent areas. The reference given for this is the blessing of Abraham. My answer is Galatians 3:13-14 which clearly stipulates that the blessing of Abraham has come even upon the Gentiles through Jesus Christ. You are also deserving of the best in life.
The price that was paid on the cross was high and God’s intention was to release all man from the bonds of the enemy. Adam had traded this freedom in the garden so both Jew and Gentile became slaves to the lordship of Satan. When Christ died on the cross, He broke the curse, releasing us all who come to Jesus to be partakers of the promises of God through faith.
Yes the price was paid, the big question today is do you have enough faith to get hold of the blessing? Even though the price was paid, it requires faith to access it! Unbelief keeps many away from the promises. The blessing includes promises expressly made in God’s word including divine health, prosperity, victorious life etc. Faith seems a big word but the book of Hebrews gives us a good definition of it; Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Do you see that? You need to be able to ignore all circumstances, believe that you have it before you have touched it with your natural senses.
Christ was made a curse for us. There is no reason on earth whatsoever for you to live under a curse if you are a believer! This can only happen if you allow the enemy to deceive you and keep you in bondage. The Father can’t do anything about this. You must acquire knowledge from the word of God to enable you to overcome all the tricks of the devil. Hosea 4:6 states, “My people perish for lack of knowledge…” This is not just sense knowledge but knowledge of God’s word.
I pray for you today that you may come to a full understanding of the grace that is made available to you through the death of Christ on the cross. May you grow in the full knowledge of Him.
Declare this,
The blessing of Abraham is upon my life. I will not lack for good things in my life because I have received the promise of the Spirit through faith. I break the power of ignorance and deception that might be keeping me off my blessing in Jesus’ name!
