HE IS ESTABLISHING THE WORKS OF YOUR HANDS

And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. (Psalms 90:17 KJV)

Growing up, we had two homes, one in the city and another in our rural home. Every school holiday would be spent in the rural area, the main occupation was agricultural activities. Depending on the time of the year, it would be preparation of the ground, planting, maintenance and eventually harvesting and preparation for storage. It’s not something I looked forward to.

It was always busy for all the people but come harvest time, others would reap more than others. Our fields always yielded more, some of the people in the village started accusing us of using some kind of juju or negative spiritual powers to get a good harvest. They did not understand the secret for the success. They had the same size of fields, applied the same inputs and perhaps even better but at harvest time we reaped better than them.

My mother’s secret was simple, she prayed and committed the works our hands to God everyday. As a result, God who establishes gave us good results. Today, I believe the Lord wants to establish the work of your hands. It does not matter what your profession or nature of work is, if committed to God, he will make you shine in darkness and make you rise above all your peers.

When any work lacks the establishment of God, it becomes toil. Toil is when you are putting in more yet you reap nothing or little. It feels like you are working and putting the money in a pocket with holes in it. This is coming to an end in Jesus’ name. The Lord is establishing the work of your hands despite the area you are in! Those who opposed you will find no room to do so. Those who criticised you will be silenced by your results.

I pray for your establishment. Like Daniel and his friends, may you become ten times better than your competitors.

Declare this,
The works of my hands are blessed. Everything I touch with my hands to do is yielding a mighty harvest because Jehovah is establishing me.

HE HOLDS THE MASTER-KEY

And when the Lord saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren. (Genesis 29:31 KJV)

Recently I have been thinking and observing the disparities between people. It could be people from the same family, raised by the same parents with the same privileges and yet their results in life are so different. Some have gone to same schools, holding the same results and degrees but their results in life still differ. Others succeed and yet others remain average or mediocre.

Leah and Rachel were raised by the same parents, had access to the same privileges and limitations. When they became Jacob’s wives, Leah’s womb produced more children. This was because the Lord opened her womb. Rachel who was loved remained barren.

Child of God, it is not enough to be loved and grow up with privileges, you need God, who holds the master-key in your life to open your womb. Without that, you toil with no results! It is not enough to have education, a job, good opportunities or even resources! Great results are from God, he is the source of all fruitfulness and with him in charge you will realize all your dreams.

After many attempts and personal effort with no results, God remembered Rachel!
“And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.” (Genesis 30:22 KJV).  Your dreams and plans will find their meaning and fulfillment in God, without him all your efforts will be in vain. He holds the master-key of your life, give him room to open the doors.

I pray for you today that all the areas in which you were delayed and things were not happening would come to the remembrance of God. That he opens the door of your womb so you may bring fruit in this season.

Declare this,
I stand by God’s word, the one who holds the master-key of my life, as I yield to him I know that all the works of my hands will yield results.

IN HIM

For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. (Acts 17:28 KJV)

At the start of the year like this, it is obvious you have new goals and perspectives coupled with new energy and determination to make it. This is wonderful as it is always God’s desire that his children make it. In all the planning and desires, there is a place you must remain to make all these plans work. That place is ‘Him’.

The Apostle Paul was in Athens where he was confronted with idolatry of the highest order. The people  needed to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. He started preaching to them and brought to them this wonderful truth. ‘In Him we live, move and have our being.’ Listen, when you are in Him, there is life, there is progress and dignity. Without him, you are nothing and all your plans are nothing but vain. No matter how much you plan, strategise and work all this must find its confirmation in God.

To live is Christ, without him one is nothing. Make a decision today that your year will be in him. Receive your direction from him, take heed of his voice and success will be certain. The Psalmist says that the one who dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91). It is under his covering that you and your plans will flourish. He wants to give you life in abundance.

In him you will progress or move forward. There is no progress outside him. Every achievement that excludes the Lord is a passing shadow that disappears with the going down of the sun. This year, he has progress for you and your plans. As you anchor in him, he will make all your sailing fruitful and worthwhile. He will make this year one that you can look back at and say I made progress.

In him you have your being. Many are clamouring around for recognition and promotion from every direction. Remember child of God, promotion does not come from anybody else but it comes from above. As you decide to abide in him, he will cause recognition to come to you from every end.

I pray for you that this year be a great year of recognisable exploits. May you in this year achieve more than you have done in all the years past.

Declare this,
This year I abide in him. I make a decision to live, move and have my being in him. I am delighted that all my plans are coming to pass as I receive the grace to prevail.

WHY NOT THE HIGHWAY?

And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt. (Exodus 13:17 KJV)

Have you ever been in a place where you felt frustrated by your seemingly slow progress? A place where it seemed you are one who progresses at a slow pace and yet your friends and others are moving faster. God might be involved in your situation.

The children of Israel were in bondage in the land of Egypt for over three hundred years. They had become accustomed to this kind of life it took the inspirational leadership of Moses for them to see life differently. Pharaoh resisted the release of the people until that decisive night when God dealt with every first-born in Egypt. Upon release, God did not take them through the highway in the land of the Philistines. This was closer to their destination and would have taken them there quickly.

Do you feel delayed and exhausted as God seems to lead you in a round about way? God is sensitive to your condition and emotions. He would rather you took longer to get there than for you to falter and revert back to your captivity!

This is how you deal with a situation of delay. Remain prayerful and in touch with the leading of God’s Spirit. It is out of his leadership that you will remain certain of getting to your desired destination. If you are out of touch with Him, you lose your coordinates and you will not be able to make it.

I pray for you today that you receive strength to continue, that the grace of God will direct you in the ways that will benefit you physically and spiritually.

Declare this,
I keep my focus on the Lord who leads me in the path that I should go. I remove my eyes from those things designed by the enemy to discourage me.
