THE WORDS OF YOUR MOUTH

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. (Psalms 19:14 KJV)

The power of words is something that has been spoken about over and over again but as I read this verse from Psalms, it set my mind thinking. Yes I have taught before on the power of the tongue and I have also read this verse several times but I started getting conviction on the secrets in this verse. King David in this verse shows us a number of secrets to answered prayer.

12512756_10156731463610048_1363216348297445298_n

The first secret is that we must speak the word. This may sound simple but it is loaded. You must vocalize or speak the word of God. You must call to Him in prayer. The words you speak must be in line with His own Word. When you speak as He speaks, you are brought in line with your miracle. What does He say about the state of things around you? Speak the same thing! Don’t speak anything that is contrary! Don’t just wish for things, pray about them, opening your mouth and speaking the desired results. All demons will bow to the spoken word of God.

The second secret is the meditation of the heart. Jesus in Luke 6:45 tells us that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The meditation of the heart is important. This is where every good deed and every evil deed originates. What does your heart continuously meditate on? Do you let your heart go astray thinking of things that are not in line with God’s word? Do you meditate on your fears more than the Word of God? Do you meditate on the bad circumstances around you instead of raising your faith and focus on the joy and miracle ahead? Your mouth will only speak what fills your heart. Your victory or failure is an inside job. It begins from the heart, then the mouth and the equation is completed. Whether it’s positive or negative, it depends on you.

The third secret is that there are acceptable words and thoughts in the sight of the Lord. It is therefore important to fill your heart with the word of God resulting in you speaking it in every situation. It will permeate your day to day language and cause you to see life in a different way. This results in the Lord accepting this offering of words and He will show up as your strength and your redeemer. Nothing beats His intervention! When He intervenes, you know your story will change and a miracle will take place!

I pray for you today that you develop a hunger for God’s word that will cause your heart to be full of His word. This will result in you speaking the Word in all situations.

Declare this,
Today I choose to fill my heart with God’s word. I vocalize His word, allowing my mouth to confess the things that He has spoken concerning me and my situation. He is my strength and my redeemer!

YOU CAN DEPEND ON HIM

Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. (1 Thessalonians 5:24 KJV)

It is amazing how many stories you hear of people who promise to do something and never fulfill it. I am sure you can name those who borrowed money from you and despite their tears doing it never returned it. You can also see others who made vows to be faithful in a marriage and never honored them. Those in business can name many occasions of unfaithfulness from their partners.

Today, I want to let you know that you can depend on Him. The Apostle Paul tells us that Jesus who called us is faithful. He will perform that which He said He will do. It doesn’t matter what you are facing today, you can depend on Him. Put all your faith and trust in Him and you will witness a total turn around of things in your life. He will do it! It means He is a performing God! He is not a dumb idol or an absent God. He is ever present to give help when needed.

12512756_10156731463610048_1363216348297445298_n

Faithfulness is a decision one must take by allowing the Holy Spirit to take leadership in your life. It would be an anomaly for you to expect Him to come through on a situation when you are not faithful yourself. He says draw nigh unto me and I will draw nigh unto you (James 4:8). If you are not seeing results, examine your life. Are you still walking uprightly with God?

Today I urge you to purge yourself of all things that are not of God, start making steps towards Him. He is faithful, you will start witnessing change around you as He fulfills every promise. You will see Him doing it whether in your health, finances and relationships or any other area.
2 Corinthians 1:20 says For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

I pray for you that you may witness the faithfulness of God in your life today.

Declare this,
I examine my life and realign it with my original zeal for the Lord. I allow the Holy Spirit to take leadership and help me purge my life of all unrighteousness. I raise my faith and I am confident He will do it.

POWER CHANGED HANDS

(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) (Ephesians 4:9-10 KJV)

In one place Paul says that if the devil knew what he was doing, he would not have crucified Christ (1 Cor 2:8). Everything that happened was fulfillment of scripture! He came as a lamb to be crucified for the very purpose of taking back the power that was stolen from Adam through deception.

‘Now that He ascended’, this statement is full of power and we will reserve its analysis for another day. Before He ascended, He first descended into the lower parts of the earth. For what reason you may ask? He had to get to the citadel of the devil, the very throne room of the enemy who was holding power illegally. The three days before His resurrection, He was busy recovering that which was lost. He embarrassed Satan in his own stronghold.

I am here to announce to you that power is no longer in the hands of the enemy. It was taken back. Satan was embarrassed in his own place of power. Even those that were held illegally were released (Eph 4:8) All he can do now is to still work through deception to keep prisoners those that have been set free. This is why the Father laments that, ‘my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge’ ((Hosea 4:6). Bring yourself to a place of knowledge of your rights. Fight for your rights for since the days of John the Baptist the kingdom of God suffers violence but the violent will take it by force (Matt 11:12).

Power changed hands! Refuse that disease, refuse to accept those nightmares, refuse that terrorism from the devil. Refuse those miscarriages and so-called barrenness! He holds no power, it was taken from him. With your mouth, you can declare God’s word and bring yourself to the level that God always intended for you. Let God’s word sink into your heart and stand on it no matter the attempts of the enemy to try and deceive you.

The good news is that when He ascended He gave power to us His children, not only that. He is seated at the right hand of the Father now, ever living and making intercession for us (Romans 8:34). You now have representation right in the throne room of God and besides holding power, you have the most powerful intercessor in the world on your side.

Look up today, things are changing as you come to the understanding that power changed hands. I pray for you that knowledge becomes part of you and that you quest for more of it. May you come to an awareness of your rights in Christ!

Declare this,
I refuse to be intimidated by the enemy through tricks and deception. I accept that power changed hands. He descended so that I may ascend and today I refuse anything that does not align with one who is a joint heir with Christ.

HE IS RISEN (PART 2)

And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. (Luke 24:49 KJV)

The beginning was different, Adam had been given all power and dominion. He had control over all the creation of God and even had the power to name things unchallenged. He was in line with what God had created him for until the devil came in the picture and stole or the rights that Adam held.

The solution God held was to send Jesus His only son to restore man to his original position. What Adam lost in the garden Jesus restored on the cross! It was important for Him to go to the cross. This is something not cry about but to celebrate. The time of Easter should therefore be a time of reflection of our rights and claiming back what the devil is unjustly holding against us as God’s children.

12814701_10209271136794835_5020528773639852782_n

On his resurrection, Jesus ensured that all promises of God would come to pass in our lives. The main promise was that of the Holy Spirit coming to dwell in every believer. The Holy Spirit is the power of God in action! According to the promise, He dwells in every believer. This means that power and dominion has been given to you over the devil. Do not allow him to impose himself upon you as if he has power over you. As long as you have received Jesus as Lord, you are above all the tricks of the devil. It is however important that you know your place. You can not access what you don’t know! As a child of God make it a habit to study the word of God to know your rights.

I am an advocate in one of the courts. I didn’t just wake up one day an advocate, I needed to attain knowledge through study and practice to be admitted. Lack of knowledge is no excuse for anything. God has faithfully put all your rights in His word, the Bible. A study of it will show you your position in this life. The devil will try and intimidate you through fear and lies if you don’t know your place in the realm of the spirit.

Hosea 4:6 says, ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge,’ This Easter period take time to acquaint yourself with the power given and the power that was promised to us as God’s children. Don’t settle for less! Take time to tarry and reflect on the price paid on the cross for you. If you were the only person on earth, Christ would still have come and died for you.

I pray for you that you awaken to the reality of the power of God that has been made available for your victory. You are victorious over that sickness, hardship, grief, addiction and financial situation.

Declare this,
I rise above personal pity and open myself to the knowledge of Christ’s death and resurrection through the study of the scriptures. I refuse to play victim but I take authority and exercise the power given to me on the cross. I know Jesus is risen and He is concerned about every bit of my life.
