BELIEVE AND SPEAK

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
(2 Corinthians 4:13 KJV)

One of the greatest writers of the past generation EW Kenyon wrote, ‘There are two types of knowledge, sense knowledge and revelation knowledge.’ Sense knowledge is what we have learnt through the five senses and revelation knowledge is directly from the Spirit of God and His word. Those who receive the word of God and accept it through the five senses find it hard to exercise faith until they can confirm things through their senses. Remember Thomas, he wanted to see and touch Jesus for him to believe that He was resurrected!

When the word of God is received and becomes revelational knowledge, it enters the heart and one is able to present a solid front even in the face of difficult circumstances. The Apostle Paul shows us in the above scripture that when one has come to the point of believing, he will speak! We also believe, therefore we speak he says. If you believe through the senses, it means you are keen to monitor the circumstances and only confess what your senses are witnessing. This goes against the spirit of faith which demands that we ignore sense knowledge and focus on revelational knowledge. Which is the word of God.

What has God spoken in your situation? Are you ready to believe the word and speak it? The level of you confession determines the level of your reception. You can only receive what you believe and confess. When your confession is double, you say you believe one thing and speak and confess the opposite, this only blocks God’s power from working in you. You maybe ill or diseased, you may be out of money and resources, you may be faced with difficult situations; what you say concerning these is always going to be of utmost importance.

Your confession is part of acting your faith. You don’t confess when the money is finally in your pocket, you hold your confession of the word of God even though there are no physical signs around you to confirm your miracle. Revelation 12:11 says, ‘And they overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…’ The word of our testimony is the unwavering declaration of God’s word over the situation we are facing.

You need to boldly speak God’s word. That is what is going to cause the enemy to flee. We resist the devil using the word of God! I pray for you today that you may see the hand of the Lord in your situation as you begin to say what God has said. Your miracle is at hand.

Declare this,
Today I change my confession. I refuse to look at the circumstances and focus my eyes on God’s word. I have overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony. The blood has done its part, it remains on me to vocalize God’s word concerning my situation.

ENQUIRE OF THE LORD

And it came to pass after this, that David enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah? And the Lord said unto him, Go up. And David said, Whither shall I go up? And he said, Unto Hebron. (2 Samuel 2:1 KJV)

David was a man after the heart of God. One of the things that made him special was his relationship with God and the ability to enquire of Him on every decision.
There are many disasters we would avoid as children of God if we took time to enquire of the Lord.

David asked, shall I go into the cities of Judah? He said to him go up and he asked the correct place in Judah, the Lord answered, Hebron! When he found Ziklag on fire, children and wives taken captive, instead of blindly pursuing the enemy, he enquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue after this troop?” (1 Samuel 30:8). The Lord told him to pursue and he would recover all. In 1 Chronicles 14:10 David enquired, “Shall I go after the Philistines, and wilt thou deliver them into my hands?” The Lord answered him and said “Go up.” Despite the first instruction, the Philistines gathered again, David did not attack on the basis of the first instruction. He enquired again, 1 Chronicles 30:14. This time the Lord told him to wait for a sign from Him before attacking.

Many believers are losing investments, children and even their lives because of simply failing to enquire of the Lord. He Has given you the Holy Spirit as a companion and guide. You can ask for directions on every step of the way and you can find yourself in line with the path and thoughts of God. This will deliver you from tragedies and losses! Don’t leave the Father out of your decision making, enquire of Him and He will fill you with the necessary wisdom to execute whatever task is at hand.

Today, can you make a decision to enquire of Him? Don’t take the trip before enquiring of Him. Don’t make that purchase before enquiring of Him. The more you enquire, the clearer the voice of the Father becomes to you. You will be able to find clear direction in a complicated world.

I pray for you today for the grace to enquire of Him for direction in all you do. As you do this over the next three months, I pray your season will turn around and you will see the power of God in your life.

Declare this,
Thank you Lord for the Holy Spirit who is my companion and guide. I thank you for helping me develop the ability to enquire of you in every part of my journey in this life. I thank you that everything l lost will be recovered in Jesus’ name!

PUT YOUR TRUST IN THE LORD

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. (Psalms 20:7-8 KJV)

The word trust is defined as “firm belief in the reliability, truth, or ability of someone or something.” It depicts the anchor of an individual and defines their belief system! The Psalmist through observation saw that some trusted in chariots and some in horses. These were symbols of war, the number of chariots and horses one had caused fear to enter his enemy. Today we would look at the number of war planes, war vehicles and guns a country. Some put their firm belief in the reliability, truth or ability of these. Others trust in the money and resources that they have! The Psalmist overlooks all these and says “we will remember the name of the Lord our God.”

When David faced Goliath, he was not a decorated soldier like his opponent, he had a sling in his hand and five stones (1 Samuel 17:40). All of his trust was in the name of the Lord. As a result a giant that experienced soldiers like Saul feared fell before David! Those who put their trust in the Lord will rise and stand upright but those who trust in something else are brought down and fall.

The name of the Lord stands as a strong tower. Jesus gave instruction to us His disciples and said in John 14:13,
“And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” The name of Jesus holds power overcome all that you can imagine when whether weapon or person! If you use His name in prayer asking for whatsoever you desire, it will be done! Dreadful diseases are healed in His name! Failing businesses are turned around! Attacks of the enemy are put away as we stand and ask in the name of Jesus.

Refuse to let the deceptions of things to take your trust away from the name of the Lord. Countless times we see in the word of God kings that trusted in their armies fall like flux before those who trusted in the Lord. When the children of God trusted in the name of the Lord and sang praises to Him, in 1 Chronicles 20 the enemies turned against each other! What battle are you facing today? Remember the name of the Lord and put your entire trust in it!

I pray for you today that your eyes may see the name of the Lord only, even in the thick of battle. May your total reliance and trust be in His name.

Declare this,
As I put my trust is in the name of the Lord I see my enemies falling. I am receiving answers to my prayers. Strongholds are cowering as I lift my voice to praise Him alone. I remove my eyes from all the other things and put my trust in Him alone.

EXAMINE ME, O LORD

Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. (Psalms 32:7 KJV)

We live in a world that carries a lot of challenges. The enemy we fight is not satisfied, he goes around like a roaring seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8-9). Peter the Apostle says be sober, be vigilant and resist him steadfast in faith. One of the ways of resisting him is always making sure that you remain in favour with God and continually under His cover. You must be able to confidently say that He is your hiding place.

When He is your hiding place, He preserves you from any form of trouble. He covers and surrounds you with songs of deliverance. When the enemy tries to attack you, he finds you in the secret place of the most high. There he can not touch even your finger.

Today, I challenge you to examine your life! Are there areas in which you have diverted from the way, deciding to take an easy road? This comes with dangerous results! Though we are under grace, a total ignorance of the voice of the Spirit asking you to get back on the way exposes you. Resulting in you being exposed to attack. As you examine yourself, ask if you are still walking well with the Lord. Ask yourself if you are working out your salvation with fear and trembling?

King Saul when he was chosen as king in Israel he feared God. He totally relied on God and his prophet Samuel. At the end of his reign, he got himself to a place where he took the voice of God for granted. He even argued with Samuel the prophet! The result was God rejecting him and tearing the kingdom from him.

David was a man out God’s heart because he allowed his heart to be perpetually examined by God. “Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.” (Psalms 26:2). This is an important prayer to ensure that your hiding place is still intact. Don’t ever come to a place where you take God’s word for granted.

I pray for you that you may come to a place where you examine your heart and allow God’s Spirit to lead you in the right way. May you never be stranded in the day of tribulation.

Declare this,
Lord you are my hiding place. Today examine my heart and bring me in the right way in places where I have lost the way. Let me be tender to your instructions and let you angels compass me with songs of deliverance.

WHEN I CALLED, HE HEARD

For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard. (Psalms 22:24 KJV)

We serve a mighty God, who is capable of hearing and seeing. He is not like dumb idols that others worship. When we go through tough times, He is closer that we can imagine, ready to act upon our call on Him.

The Psalmist says He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted. Are you afflicted in any area? Are you going through a difficult season and you are not sure what to do? His ear is ready to hear you. He will not ignore you, call upon Him! It is His desire to show you His face and grant you victory over marauding demons and the work of the enemy. Call to Him and He will hear you.

Some situations may seem prolonged, you might be losing heart and thinking that there is no way out for you. Let me assure you that there is definitely a way out for you! God’s grace is available to ensure that you conquer everything that is fighting against you. I prophesy that you will rejoice again, yes you will see the face of the Lord again! You will smile again because He loves you more than anyone else here on earth. There is no weapon fashioned against you that will prosper.

Today you can vocalize your call on Him. The Psalmist continues and says in Psalms 22:26 “The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek him:
your heart shall live for ever.” He wants to satisfy you with good things. He wants you to go through life with joy, not pains, depression, lack and other things. He wants you satisfied. As you seek His face, give Him praise! Praise is powerful and it breaks down the strongest of walls. Any stronghold that stood against you will fall as you praise the Lord.

I pray for you today that you find strength to call on Him. If you were giving up, I pray that hope swells inside of you again. Your season has come and as you praise Him this month, your answer is here.

Declare this,
I praise you Lord for when I called you heard. Thank you for showing me your face and my situation is changing as a result.
