We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
(2 Corinthians 4:13 KJV)
One of the greatest writers of the past generation EW Kenyon wrote, ‘There are two types of knowledge, sense knowledge and revelation knowledge.’ Sense knowledge is what we have learnt through the five senses and revelation knowledge is directly from the Spirit of God and His word. Those who receive the word of God and accept it through the five senses find it hard to exercise faith until they can confirm things through their senses. Remember Thomas, he wanted to see and touch Jesus for him to believe that He was resurrected!
When the word of God is received and becomes revelational knowledge, it enters the heart and one is able to present a solid front even in the face of difficult circumstances. The Apostle Paul shows us in the above scripture that when one has come to the point of believing, he will speak! We also believe, therefore we speak he says. If you believe through the senses, it means you are keen to monitor the circumstances and only confess what your senses are witnessing. This goes against the spirit of faith which demands that we ignore sense knowledge and focus on revelational knowledge. Which is the word of God.
What has God spoken in your situation? Are you ready to believe the word and speak it? The level of you confession determines the level of your reception. You can only receive what you believe and confess. When your confession is double, you say you believe one thing and speak and confess the opposite, this only blocks God’s power from working in you. You maybe ill or diseased, you may be out of money and resources, you may be faced with difficult situations; what you say concerning these is always going to be of utmost importance.
Your confession is part of acting your faith. You don’t confess when the money is finally in your pocket, you hold your confession of the word of God even though there are no physical signs around you to confirm your miracle. Revelation 12:11 says, ‘And they overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…’ The word of our testimony is the unwavering declaration of God’s word over the situation we are facing.
You need to boldly speak God’s word. That is what is going to cause the enemy to flee. We resist the devil using the word of God! I pray for you today that you may see the hand of the Lord in your situation as you begin to say what God has said. Your miracle is at hand.
Today I change my confession. I refuse to look at the circumstances and focus my eyes on God’s word. I have overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony. The blood has done its part, it remains on me to vocalize God’s word concerning my situation.
