THE POWER OF FAITH

And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. (Genesis 21:1-2 KJV)

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, it is the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). You ought to notice here that faith is the substance so the one who believes must consider himself a holder of the thing that he is believing for.

When you hold on to the word of God and His promises, He is sure to fulfill everything that He has spoken. Many miss the mark because they are not consistent in their faith. The above scripture clearly tells us that the Lord visited Sarah as He had promised! Here was a 90 year old woman, her system was unable to give birth anymore but because God the maker of everything had spoken, it happened.

Right at the set time, God came through but it needed faith from Abraham to keep the wheels of the promise in traction! You have to believe! No matter what circumstance you face, if God Has spoken it, He will fulfill it. He is able to do exceeding abundantly above our thoughts and imaginations (Ephesians 3:20).

Jesus cursed the fig tree and it dried from its roots! The disciples marveled and Jesus answered them and said, “Have faith in God.” He continued and said in Matthew 21:22
“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” When you pray are you believing? Do you have faith of the end result or you are just being religious? ‘Whatsoever you shall ask’, there are no things that faith distinguishes. It is cable of bringing healing, deliverance, financial liberty and favour into your life. Whatever it is as long as it’s in His word in will be delivered.

What did you pray for today? Did you pray in faith (believing)? The enemy will come and knock at the door to challenge the word of God and your faith. Don’t allow him to do so, continue declaring what the Word of God says and he will leave you alone. Faith holds power to move mountains. It can reorganize things in your life. You might have been born in poverty, faith can raise you up to wealth! You might have been told the disease in your system is incurable, faith holds the power to move that mountain.

I encourage you today not to give up. Your miracle is around the corner. Look how long Abraham waited for Isaac? He believed that God who had promised would surely do it according to His word.

Today I pray for you that your spirit man may be reignited and that faith will arise in you to deal with every circumstance. This is a shield capable of changing things on your behalf and turning back all the negative arrows of the enemy.

Declare this,
Today I believe that my situation is due for change. I lift the shield of faith and quench all the arrows of the enemy. I wait upon the Lord believing that He will fulfill every word He spoke in my life in Jesus’ name!

THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS PART 2

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. (Matthew 18:21-22 KJV)

People have been asking, how many times must I forgive? Peter had the same question and approached Jesus. It seems the belief was to forgive seven times and then after take revenge. Jesus answered him and said he must forgive seventy times seven times. That seems a big number to reach on a single day. What Jesus is saying is that you don’t have to take the law into your own hands or scheme vengeance against the wrong doer. When you forgive you set yourself free.

Vengeance is of the Lord (Romans 12:19). He sees things that are done in secret and will grant vengeance. Remember He spoke and He said He will fight for you. When you try to take vengeance yourself, you may end up taking spiritual battles into the physical and there you are bound to lose it all.

Many wars that have come with much destruction before could have been prevented in this world through forgiveness. There is no limit to the number of times you must forgive. You can do it over and over again. The winner in all this is you.

Help yourself today, no matter how painful, you can detach yourself from the pain by forgiving. You can receive healing from that disease by forgiving. Close the door to the enemy assault on your life through forgiveness. Don’t hold on to unforgiveness, it’s poison for your soul.

If it’s money that was stolen or unfairly taken, forgive! Your source is God and He will give you more. Always look ahead! Jesus in all the persecution from His own people focused on His redemptive work. He saw the joy that was ahead and forgave them.

Hebrews 12:2 (KJV)
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

I pray for you today that your heart opens up to forgive those that have wronged you. May He grant you power to pray even for your enemies in Jesus’ name.

Declare this,
Lord I thank you for awakening my heart to forgive those who wronged me. I surrender myself to you and ask for your mercy to reign over me. Forgive me for habouring bitterness against some people in my life.

THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS

And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. (Acts 7:60 KJV)

One of the heaviest burdens to carry is that of un-forgiveness. Justly you may have been wronged and abused and it feels correct not to forgive. However, the other person who has wronged you can repent of their acts and God forgives them. The one who remains in danger is the one who was wronged.

Jesus understood the power of forgiveness and the disciples that followed after. As He hung on the cross, He did not condemn those who were crucifying Him but He said, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”

Stephen a man greatly used of God was captured, tortured and falsely accused with false witnesses coming up. He was brought before the judges and explained fully what he preached in contrast to the accusers. After this, they were offended. They led him out of the city and they started stoning him to death. He knew that if he died without speaking certain words, these people would never access the very salvation he preached including the great Apostle Paul. He said, “Lord lay not this sin on their charge.” He forgave them even when they were busy killing him.

Time and again I have had to forgive people who either stole from me or abused my name. Was it to their benefit, no it was mostly to mine! Forgiveness unlocks closed doors. The devil takes advantage of areas of unforgiveness and uses them to condemn your life even though you were the victim. Remember He is the accuser of the brethren.

Many have been healed of all manner of sicknesses and disease when they chose to forgive. Others have testified to financial troubles going away because they chose to forgive. Holding to the wrong done to you just steals time and vitality from you.

Like Stephen today you need to come to a place where you forgive all those who wronged you. Pray for them! Forgiveness is not ignoring them, but it must flow from the heart. I pray for you today that you find the grace to forgive!

Declare this,
Lord thank you for your word is awakening me to the need to forgive. I lay my heart before you and forgive all those who have trespassed against me in Jesus’ name.

THE POWER OF HUMILITY

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: (Philippians 2:7 KJV)

Jesus was equal with God being part of the trinity! He was above all things as He created them together with the Father. The love of human kind that was under the hands and control of the devil owing to Adam’s treason was something that needed to be dealt with.

The Son of the living God was willing to strip Himself and took upon himself the form of a servant. He was made in the likeness of man who at the time was under the shackles of the devil. This was the way He would bring redemption to God’s creation! It was humility never seen before, it led even to death on the cross. This resulted in God exalting Him and gave Him a name that is above all names.

Philippians 2:10-11

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

At the mention of His name, every knee should bow in all heaven and in all earth. Jesus had to confront the same temptations, challenges and confrontations with the enemy. He was led into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil but He stood on the Word! Responding by saying what was written in the Word.

Today you can take hold of His name and speak it into the circumstances of you life. There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain. The enemy knows it and the only way he can keep people as slaves is to keep them in ignorance and by keeping them in doubt of the power in the name. Under the cover of His name, everything that has a name must bow! It can be a disease, financial challenges, relationships that are in trouble or whatever the situation. Just call on the name of Jesus. You will be a witness of miracles! As you call on His name, don’t doubt, do it with faith and full assurance that it will work in your situation.

There is power in humility, it brings elevation. Pride goes before a fall but humility unlocks greater things. Today I pray for you that you recognize the power of humility and receive your promotion from the Father.

Declare this,
I speak the name of Jesus and I know that at the mention of it every knee bows and every tongue confesses His Lordship. All the agents of the enemy assigned against me are bowing today in Jesus’ name because the price for my redemption was paid already.
