Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:19 KJV)
The word power in this scripture is speaking of authority and jurisdiction. He shows us that the enemy has power but He has given us authority or jurisdiction over him. We can tread or put under our feet snakes and scorpions, here representing satanic agencies and means of operation! He also says ‘and over all the power of the enemy!’ ALL means all, nothing is left uncovered. We have authority over witches and wizards, over diseases and robbers. We have authority over demonic forces and they that are possessed by same to perform evil. Nothing by shall any means hurt us!
A deeper analysis leaves believers asking, “So why am I going through this?” My question is what has been your knowledge of the power and authority given to you? You really can only use what you understand. Lack of understanding leads to loss and catastrophe! You need to let the Holy Spirit inside you to guide you through wisdom to understand your jurisdiction.
Lack of knowledge is another aspect the enemy uses. As long as he can keep you in the dark without knowledge, he can bring all kinds of torments and you will sign it in acceptance. You therefore remain a prisoner in a season were freedom has been declared and your oppressors have been stripped of all power. The more you go deeper and understand your authority, you will be able to turn even the most dire situation around and nothing by shall any means hurt you!
Authority is expressed and action and speech. When Jesus came and started to teach, they were amazed by the authority with which He spoke. You too can begin today to act in authority you have been given and you can begin to talk in the authority you have been given. Don’t you know your words are more than natural, they travel in the spiritual realm and can build or destroy you?
I pray for you today that you may begin to walk in the power and authority given to you as a believer.
I am a believer. I have received power over the enemy and nothing by shall any means hurt me. I refuse to fear anything from the enemy for Christ stripped him of all power and as Christ rules, I rule with Him! I will not perish for lack of knowledge of my spiritual rights.
