BE DILIGENT

“Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.” (Ecclesiastes 9:10 KJV)

Download audio versionIt is easy to find many that are slothful, not keen to work with their hands and behaving as if they have all the time in the world. The unfortunate thing with slothfulness is that the day you wake up, you no longer have the strength of your youth and you can’t recover all the lost time.

Solomon in his great wisdom advises that whatsoever you find for your hands to do, do it with all your strength, focus and apply excellence to it. Apply all the principles of wisdom and knowledge you have. Seek advise from those who know and have excelled in the same work. That way you will find success. Don’t look down upon the tasks that come to your hands. Work at it, you will be noticed soon and that will bring you promotion!

The slothful waits for a mega deal to work on, he is ignorant of the fact that a seed of a tree comes small and not as a big tree. Plant a seed today and in twenty years it will be a tree that gives you fruit. Avoid ‘get rich quick schemes’ as they only take you down and waste your seed and progress!

Solomon says, “whatsoever.” One might say but I am only a maid or a cleaner! Refuse to despise yourself, bring yourself in the limelight through diligence in that work. That way you will spend better days. All work of hands has the potential of bringing you to a place of wealth. It is not God’s desire for you to die a poor man! Do you have hands? He spoke and said, ” He has blessed the works of your hands.” Idle hands hold an idle blessing and working hands find fruitfulness.

As you pray today, look at you hands and speak these words to them, “From now on you will not be idle. God has blessed your works and I am ready to apply all wisdom and knowledge towards whatsoever I find to do.” Don’t let the economy determine your life. The blessing you carry is above national economies and currencies.

Declare this,
Today I choose to be diligent in the work of my hands. I apply wisdom and seek knowledge concerning my skill and occupation. Through this, my life is coming into the limelight and I am getting noticed by those who matter.

STUDY TO BE QUIET

“And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.”
(1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 KJV)

Download audio versionThere are two groups of Christians that are easy to distinguish, those who work with their hands and those that are obviously lazy! Paul in his teachings always urged people to work hard and create wealth bringing them out of poverty. In the above scripture he says study to quiet and do your own business and work with your hands. This is a commandment that he gave them and the churches he formed.

When you study to be quiet, you are giving yourself the benefit of speaking things that are edifying to your spirit man and not destroy it. Solomon says even a fool when he is quiet can be considered a wise man. When you do your own business, you grant yourself the opportunity of not meddling with other people’s things and you avoid conflict with others. Your hands are carrying a special blessing that if you unlock it, it can be a blessing not only to you but the whole world. God blesses the works of your hands. Give your hands work to do and you will see God’s goodness and fruitfulness.

For you to get to a place where you lack nothing, you have to walk honestly to all. Let people see that you deal honestly with your family and business. Let them see that you are serious about important things such as integrity. Avoid corruption and bribery, it only mars the works of your hands. You will reap nothing but vanity.

You need to self introspect and ask yourself if you pass on these three things: study to be quiet- this is study so it needs a lot of work to get there. Do your own business and I would say this you must include minding your own business. Don’t delve into other people’s matters uninvited. Ask yourself, am I walking honestly or with integrity?

I pray for you that as you self introspect and meditate on this word, your life will take a different twist and you will see God’s hand changing things around you and your life.

Declare this;
Lord Jesus I thank you for your word which directs and corrects me. I choose to follow your word as I study to be quiet, work with my own hands and to walk with integrity that I may show the world the grace that only you can give.

DEAL WITH YOUR ANGER

A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool’s wrath is heavier than them both. (Proverbs 27:3 KJV)

Download audio version
Anger and bitterness are dangerous to the one who carries it. They have the capacity of burying one alive and can destroy the body, soul and spirit. Many will say that I am angry because I was wronged but the moment you carry that wrath overnight, you are putting yourself in a worse problem. Despite being born again, anger can affect your salvation.

As you walk here on earth, there are challenges that are likely to bring you into a state of anger and bitterness. This can even be as worse as anger and bitterness towards ones parents. Forgiveness is an important key no matter how hard the situation you have been made to pass through is! Imagine God the Father giving His only begotten son to redeem man who had wronged him and continued living in sin and rebellion.

Solomon, a man of wisdom pens these words, “A stone is heavy, and the sand is weighty; but a fool’s wrath is heavier than them both.” These are serious words which require deeper analysis. Imagine trying to lift a boulder, it is heavy for the body so is a sack full of sand now imagine both combined? This is in the natural but he says all these are nothing compared to the burden of wrath or anger! It is heavy for the one who carries it. It will torment your being until you can’t carry on. In your right senses when you realize a stone is too heavy, you put it down otherwise you break your back. Put the same application towards that anger. Put it down before it breaks your spirit man.

Don’t carry anger towards your parents, your brothers and sisters and even strangers that wronged you. Be quick to forgive and leave all vengeance to the Lord. The word even urges us to feed our enemies. Why is that, to relieve you of the danger of anger and bitterness! When one is angry, they are bound to make wrong decisions without reason, that only translates to foolishness.

I pray for you today that you find it in your heart to forgive those who have wronged you. May the grace of God encompass you and help you in this area. Search your soul, who am I angry with? This one thing can block the blessing of the Lord flowing in your life and give the devil room to operate. It will block your prayers and they will not reach the Lord.

Declare this,
Thank you Lord for the light of the Word. I remove the burden of anger from myself knowing that my spirit can not continue carrying this burden. Thank you for teaching me to forgive those who trespass against me as you have done the same for me over and over again in Jesus’ name.

THE MYSTERY IS UNVEILED

“Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:” (Colossians 1:26-27 KJV)

Download audio version
Did you know that today you occupy a special place in the plan of God? You are part of His inheritance and you have become part of His great plan which even the prophets in the Old Testament could not clearly decipher. They would see in part and decipher the greatest mystery in part.

When Christ defeated the enemy and his cohorts, He took back that which Adam had lost in the garden. Apostle Paul tells us above that there is a mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations but on this side of the cross, it has been made manifest to His saints! There are riches packed in this mystery. This is why the prophets and kings of old sought for it. The mystery might sound simple, “CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY” but it carries deeper depth than our imagination.

Whereas in the past they climbed mountains to seek God, they sacrificed bulls and sheep to find Him. They sought His glory and His face, in this dispensation Christ Has taken habitation in us! We have become His very temple. He is the hope of glory and any spiritual progress one would want. When He takes residence in you, God Himself has taken habitation in you and He doesn’t come empty handed. He comes with His splendor and His majesty. He comes with His power and radiance! Do you see that, what a great mystery!

The enemy would want to blind many from this reality. It is powerful to understand that the God you seek is already inside you. He has come with your healing, deliverance, prosperity and His glory. God laments my people perish for lack of knowledge as a result. There are many believers running all over looking for what is already in them, Christ! When you become a believer the things you seek are in you. If you allow Him to do His full work in you, thou shalt witness His glory.

As you pray today, take time to listen to Him as He will speak in you confirming His word. He is ever present with you such that you are never alone. Even in the darkest moment of your life, He is the light shining in you. Fear not little flock He said, it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. What surpasses Him giving us His only begotten son? We are blessed beyond our imagination. As you seek Him, He is not far, He is closer than your breath. Push yourself towards acquainting with Him in contrast with man and other world things.

I pray for you that as the mystery has been revealed, may you understand the great things it entails and may your heart push towards seeking Him and all these other things will be added unto you.

Declare this,
Thank you Lord for your faithfulness and for making me a partaker of the great mystery. I am so blessed today that Christ is in me the hope of glory and as I awake each day, I carry His presence with me. I accept this fact and know that I am a world changer.
