Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in. (Joshua 6:1 KJV)
When the children of Israel under the leadership of Joshua approached Jericho, the gates of the city were tightly shut. No one went in or out. There was need for a strategy to change this situation. Thank God for His Spirit on Joshua, a solution was at hand.
Today, you must rise up in the power of the Holy Spirit not only to deal with closed doors but to also deal with open ones. You see, for generations the enemy kept coming in and plundering your family and now he is plundering you. It was effortless on his part as he had established access points. You can pick up some trends in families from one generation to another.
Rise up in your faith today and tell the enemy ‘you will go no further than this.’ Close every door to prohibit any evil from coming in. You have been given power and authority to do so. Within you is the ability to overcome all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). You must awaken to that power and function in that power today! Don’t let the devil thrive on your fear and ignorance.
I pray for you today that as you deal with these gates, long life is returning to your family, prosperity is becoming part of your heritage. Drunkenness and all manner of evil are disappearing from everyone that bears your blood. Today, you are a Joshua in that family, take your place.
Declare this today,
I command every gate that the enemy was using to access my life closed NOW. Every marauding devil causing instability in my life and family is locked out today in Jesus’ name!
