Day 14 – My rain must fall today – 21 Days of Fasting & Prayer 2015

21-days-14
There are times when you pray for something and you seem resisted by the enemy. The key to employ is a never giving up faith! Faith that says things may be delayed but I will not give up! The word allows you to continually bring a matter before the throne room: it is called the prayer of persistence! Let’s build this up,

Jesus tells us the following story:

Luke 18:2-5
Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

The judge was put in a place to deal with the issues of the people but he would not! His match was a widow. A woman with nothing but the power of persistence! He was stubborn but the stubbornness was broken by her persistence. Listen to what the Lord says;

Luke 18:6-7
And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

The unjust judge was moved by persistence, Jesus says shall not God avenge his own elect? His own children which cry a cry of faith unto him day and night. Refuse to give up! Refuse to surrender, God will avenge His elect. It might seem like the devil is winning but persist, PUSH!

Giving up isn’t an option in this hour! Elijah prayed for rain to fall. When Ahab went up to feast, Elijah went up to pray. For 2 and a half years there was no rain and Elijah prayed! He sent his servant to check for the clouds. First time there was nothing, second time there was nothing. He continued to send him until he came back at the seventh time;

1 Kings 18:44-45
And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not.
And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.

Elijah’s persistent prayer provoked the rain. He didn’t give up until he got his results. You too must not give up, this is day 14, something must change! Your rain must fall…PUSH. There is nothing that can’t be changed. Even wicked judges will give you justice. Wicked demons will surrender your space today!

#No retreat no surrender
#I will persist until my answer comes
#I will pray until something happens
#My answer is coming from the throne room now
