One of my favorite preachers has a saying, “Wickedness is real, oppression is real but more real is our victory which overcomes the world which is our faith.”
It is important that believers wake up to the reality of what the world carries. When the enemy was kicked down here on earth his agenda was not to simply put up a home here and cry. He planned revenge through the attack of God’s premium creation.
The Psalmist gives us a glimpse into this world,
Psalms 74:20
Have respect unto the covenant:
for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.
There are dark places of the earth where evil is planned, full of habitations of cruelty. The intention being to make things hard for believers and generally humans. Those not born again are not the devil’s big concern as they are already in his hands to use as ponies on the chase board. His target is believers.
The solution is given by the Psalmist, ‘ Have respect unto the covenant.’ The word covenant simply means contract. It is the provided escape root. Our New Testament covenant covers a number of things that as believers we must have respect for:
~Resistance of sin
~Study of the word
~Prayer~ communion with the Father
For space I will deal with these three only. Child of God, sin is the quickest way to sink your soul. The devil will use it to make sure you don’t access any of God’s blessings but that eventually you make it not into heaven. Study of the word brings you closer to the Lord. It brings instruction and gives your life revelation from above. It is the quickest way to access and knowledge of your rights in God. Prayer is an important line into the throne room. If blocked, it is like a blocked artery to the heart which deprives the whole body of oxygen.
I trust you are still with me. Wickedness is real, the devil is real. I am not saying this so that I scare you but to get you to stand in your space and defend your rights, those of your children and those around and precious to you. There is no room for complacency. There is no room for appearing righteous before man but you are mischievous away from those who know you. ‘Who is fooling who?’ You are simply putting yourself in wrong hands. The hands of the wicked one! There are demons on assignment today against you and your family, they are looking for a little room to get in a destroy your life. Stand your ground! Don’t give him a foothold.
As you stand in the righteousness of God through faith you are bound to win. Declare the word, speak it like never before. Paul was known in the midst of hell because of his stand. What do the dark places of the earth say about you? What is in their file concerning you? May you be provoked on day 15 to take your place of prayer, word and righteousness. Resist temptation. Resist prayer-less-ness remember it’s the devil’s weapon to keep you down!
#Have respect unto the covenant, God is a respecter of covenant.
#Pray, make it a habit
#There is no substitute for righteousness, flee sin. Its wages is death both physical and spiritual.
# You are doing well as you continue to pray fast, it is changing you and placing you closer together with Christ in high places, far above all powers and principalities.
