The Lord’s greatest desire for His children is that we win souls. Winning souls puts us at the apex of His power. When we see His power manifest amongst those not born again, our hearts are drawn closer to the Lord. When the Lord called me into ministry in 1995, His question to me was, ‘Others are busy seeking my will for their lives, what is my will for your life?’ My answer was, ‘Soul winning Lord.’
Proverbs 11:30
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life;
and he that winneth souls is wise.
This is an area you need to take into serious consideration. Selfishness has set itself into the world such that a few people take time to talk to the next person. People can travel next to each other for hours without even greeting. Yet imagine Apostle Paul who would take the opportunity to announce to the whole ship that he was a messenger of Christ. As a result he won many souls to Christ.
Be honest with yourself, how many souls have you won to the Lord? How many people have you told about Jesus? It is wisdom to win souls. As you pray and fast today, I want you to cry for hunger to win souls. May your heart be moved when you sit next to someone to ask one simple question, ‘Are you born again?’
There is more the Lord would want to do through you in the area of souls. Don’t ignore it. You are the answer to someone’s most difficult question. The person next to you might be contemplating suicide unless you give them the answer, Jesus!
