But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah. (Psalms 49:15 KJV)
One of the special things about King David is how he used words. He knew what to say and when, no wonder He was a man after God’s heart. In the midst of turmoil and at the heart of defeat, he would raise his voice declaring his faith in the power of God to deliver him. It did not matter how long it took, his confession remained the same. Many believers today believe when it’s convenient and when things are okay. When things are otherwise, they are ready to try all other things than leaning on God’s word!
Faith is always tested in the face of a challenge. It is not tested when things are okay. Abraham had to believe for a multitude of children when he was childless. Noah had to start working on the ark even when there was no rain and as people mocked him. The word clearly spells in Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Without faith it is impossible to please God! You have to believe in every circumstance. It is faith that is going to move God not just tears. The one who approaches Him must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Have you sought Him for that situation or you have run to everyone else for a solution? He holds the reward and solution.
When he faced the grave, David declared, ‘God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave.’ Though the grave might seem strong, the grace provided by God is more powerful. It is sufficient for you. Let your faith anchor in Him and in His word and you will not be disappointed. The devil may try to lay you in many different areas but look ahead and declare your victory. Standing on the word! He disappoints the devices of the crafty so then can not perform their enterprise!
Recently a couple came to me, they were experiencing miscarriages. The doctors had conducted tests and said many things to them. They said man of God, what do we do? I laid hands on them and told them, “Go and have a baby and we will dedicate the child in nine months time. Stop all pregnancy tests because God has done it.” I was seeing the victory ahead and I declared it! Today we are waiting for the day of dedication!
Jesus endured the death of the cross as He saw the joy ahead. In faith He faced the cross. It is time to challenge your challenges through faith. You must vex those things which were vexing you through faith and declarations in line with God’s word and ability. Refuse to focus on the circumstances, He who promised is faithful to fulfill all His promises. I pray for you that your eyes may be opened to see ahead, that you may not be vexed by the current situation!
Today I change my confession. I speak the Word and nothing else. Whatever the circumstance and plan the enemy had put in place, God has redeemed my soul from the power of the grave through His grace. I declare it and I will see it!
