Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions: That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. (Daniel 2:17-18 KJV)
We are blessed to have a God of mercy, He hears us and grants mercy when we ask for it. Daniel was on the death-line, an executor was at his door step! When he enquired, he was told the king had passed a decree for the death of all wise men for their failure to tell and interpret his dream. Daniel asked the king for time as he knew exactly what he would do.
When he was granted time, he went straight to his house and made the thing known to his companions. These are prayer partners, people that one can petition the Lord with for any matter. Matthew 18:19 tells us that if two of you shall agree on a matter here on earth in prayer, it shall be done by our Father in heaven. God is ready to show mercy when we come together and pray united on any given matter.
There was a secret needing to be revealed and we know that God knows every secret.
The revelation of the secret would save the life of Daniel and the wise men across
the land. God pays attention to the prayers of the saints when they come together.
In verse 19, the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision and his response
was to bless God and give Him thanks. Whenever you have prayed, be ready for an answer. When the answer comes, do not forget to give Him thanks. Sometimes it does not come the very moment you have prayed but His answer is on the way.
I know you have petitions in your heart today, find two or three prayer partners
that you can desire the mercies of God with. As you do so, heaven is ready to grant you answers. I pray that as you do so, may you urgently be presented with answers.
Declare this,
My God is a revealer of all secrets. As I approach the throne of grace, I do it with
boldness and I am receiving answers as a result.
