Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
(Proverbs 9:6 KJV)
Naivety is defined as the lack of experience, judgment and wisdom. Many children of God walk in naivety. I want you to understand that this must not be so for Christ has been made to us wisdom (1 Cor 1:30). You must exhibit his wisdom in a dying world, a world that has embraced foolishness as a way of life.
Naivety brings about unnecessary losses, it trades life for death. Gives away birth rights for a bowl of soup and trades away the future in the spur of the moment. Look at Esau, he exalted his hunger above his birthright. Uriah naively carried a letter with his death instructions to the battle front. Naivety blocked all his spiritual sensitivity!
To walk in wisdom, you must forsake foolishness. Do not hang around fools as they will give you the wrong advice. Foolishness according to Solomon is tantamount to death but when you go in the way of understanding, you gain life. There is need for the application of wisdom in your day to day life. God has already given to you the ability to walk in wisdom through Jesus Christ.
In pursuit of wisdom, have a multitude of counsellors. People who have wisdom and can help you go to the next level. Solomon says, ‘Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety’ (Pro 11:14). Without counsel purposes are disappointed but in a multitude of counsellors they are established. Your own life will be established in this hour as you take heed of this message.
Today, you must draw a line over your naivety. This is what has been pulling you back and locking you in a life of endless circles of failure. Naivety has no place in your future, wisdom is taking the driver’s seat in your life as you take heed of this word.
I pray for you today that wisdom becomes the guiding light in your life from now on. Foolishness will not be named in your life anymore. You will make progress and achieve your goals.
Declare this,
My season has come. Wisdom is driving my life from now on. I am drawing a line over my naivety. I am making good progress and achieving all my goals.
