Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. (John 20:17 KJV)
For thirty-three years he walked in a lesser domain, being a blessing to many. His death on the cross was the ultimate sacrifice which would bring about his ultimate goal, the redemption of mankind. On his ascension, he gave the great commission to his disciples and those who would take the call to receive him.
He ascended but granted authority to his children to go and extend his rule. He ascended to his Father, who now is our Father by virtue of his accomplishments here on earth, to his God who now is our God! If the God of the universe is now your Father, you must descend on this world with confidence and authority. When Christ ascended, he sat at the right hand of God, ever-living to make intercession for you (Hebrews 12:2, Ephesians 1:20-21). Your victory must be obvious because you have representation in the greatest throne room of the universe. Daily your name is mentioned in intercession. Do great things and give pleasure to your Heavenly Father who blessed you with this life.
Whatever plans you have, descend on them with the confidence that He who ascended deposited in you the power to succeed. He is delighted when you make progress because his mission on earth was to set you free from the bonds of the worst slavery ever recorded.
As you move into the next year, put your trust and confidence in Jesus knowing that he will never fail you. He will protect you, he will cover you under the shadow of his wings (Psalm 91). Even though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death he will be with you. He ascended into a realm where his power is unchallenged and where his authority is undisputed.
I pray for you today that every evil agenda that was planned and programmed against you is overcome because he who sits in the heavens is fighting for you. You are coming out of every snare of the fouler stronger.
Declare this,
He ascended so that I may descend on every assignment with confidence. He who started a good work in me will finish it. I am blessed of God who is my Father. I walk in confidence because I have representation in the greatest throne room of the universe.
