He said, Come! So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and he came toward Jesus. But when he perceived and felt the strong wind, he was frightened, and as he began to sink, he cried out, Lord, save me [from death]! (Matthew 14:30 AMP)
There are many things that we look at as impossible owing to our life experiences and the supposed facts of life. The word today is simply that you can walk on water. The things you deemed Impossible are possible through faith. As a child of God the only facts of life are in the word of God, anything else that tries to stand as a fact is not true.
Peter asked the Lord if he could come and walk with Him on the water. The word from Jesus was simple, ‘come.’ Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water as he came towards Jesus. His quest of faith was derailed when he looked at the facts of life! He perceived and felt the strong wind and fear crept inside him. The moment fear crept in, faith departed and immediately he began to sink.
Child of God, what are you allowing yourself to perceive? Does it bring faith or fear inside of you? Are you looking at the symptoms instead of the word of God? Are you looking at the economy instead of keeping your eyes on Jesus? The more you look at your surroundings, the more fear builds up in you and you sink lower and lower in the financial situation or sickness. Yes the natural things may seem real but the word of God through faith is what brings stability! All the other natural things are vain and are used by the enemy as a way of deceiving you.
Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). As long as Peter had faith, he stayed afloat but when faith departed, he started sinking! Determine in your heart today to stand in faith. No matter the symptoms, no matter the way things are looking, stand in faith! Without doubt of God’s word, your life will go to another level through faith.
Many that Jesus healed, He attributed it to their faith. Today you can believe and walk on water. Impossible situations will become possible. I pray for you today, that fear finds its way out of your life and that faith in the word occupies your whole being.
Declare this,
I choose to believe God’s word. I overcome fear as I keep my eyes firm on Jesus. I choose to walk by faith and not by sight in Jesus’ name.
