And they all ate and were satisfied. And they gathered up seven [large provision] baskets full of the broken pieces that were left over.
Those who ate were 4,000 men, not including the women and the children. (Matthew 15:37-38 AMP)
A challenging world we are living in keeps demanding more resources in order to survive however there is a great lesson the word teaches us and that is we need not focus on our environment but on God. Faith is the key that unlocks even the most difficult of situations. If you are ready to believe God, you will witness miracles even in situations that spell scarcity.
Jesus had preached to a multitude over a period of three days. The time to release them came but the very compassion that drove His ministry refused to let them go hungry. They would faint on the way and the great words they had heard would not profit them. There were 4,000 men excluding women and children. Please note this was not a men’s meeting, they didn’t count the women and children. Normally you would find that men are always lesser than the women and children in a gathering.
Jesus asked the disciples what was available. The answer was ‘we only have seven loaves and few fishes.’ Jesus in His quest to demonstrate the possibilities for those who believe, He took the provision, looking up, he gave thanks and broke the bread and fish which He passed on the disciples. The disciples in-turn passed on to the people that were waiting. A miracle, they all ate and not only that, they were satisfied! Another miracle, they gathered large provision baskets full of broken pieces that ware left over. Seven loaves of bread mixed with faith, the multiplication factor became seven large provision baskets as left-overs after feeding multitudes. If you are willing to believe you will see the good of the Lord in the land of the living. To believe, you have to renounce past knowledge! You have to embrace the Word of God and you will witness miracles today!
Whatever situation you are facing it can bow down to faith; scarcity, financial problems, sickness, opposition, whatever nature it is, faith is more powerful than any of it. You have hold a solid front and not back down! Your miracle might seem to take time, refuse to back down, keep believing. You will see small seven become big seven and yes, you will have the last laugh.
I pray for you that no matter how the devil has been trying to pull you down, your faith will be reignited and you will see the hand of the Lord soon!
Declare this,
I refuse to look at the circumstances, like Jesus, I open my eyes to see the power of God at work. I refuse to back down and I choose to continue presenting a solid front, holding the shield of faith!
