PROSPERITY IS YOUR PORTION (1)

And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. (Genesis 39:2 KJV)

Joseph was born with a great purpose in life but things were never easy for him right from the beginning. His brothers, the people who were meant to help him nature his dreams are the ones that were determined to destroy them. They were so unhappy with him they even thought of killing him. They ended up selling him as a slave and he was taken into Egypt.

When the Lord is with you, it really doesn’t matter where you are. His presence in your life is synonymous with prosperity. As a slave, in his master’s house, Joseph prospered. The things he touched with his hands were blessed.

The ingredient you need in your life to prosper is God’s presence. A vibrant relationship with him. Are you in a place not because of your own choice and you feel discouraged? Do not despair, nothing happens without the Lord knowing about it. All things do indeed work eventually for your good. The important thing is to remain connected to the Lord. He will cause his grace to make you shine in the midst of your enemies.

In that state of slavery, God was involved in Joseph’s life as he was preparing him to take charge and leadership of Egypt, a vast and prosperous nation in his time. I urge you not to give up, look ahead. There is a great assignment that God is preparing for you. What you are facing and experiencing is a form of training for your reigning!

I pray for you that as you are in that situation, may you be strengthened by God’s Spirit. May you be delivered from all sorts of discouragement that leads to giving up.

Declare this,
I am God’s chosen with a special assignment here on earth. I rise above all fear and discouragement. Prosperity is my portion in all I do.

Very remarkable that in Gen 39:2 the slave, rather than the rich Egyptian master, is declared “prosperous”. This has refined my concept of prosperity. Wow! True prosperity is God’ presence and favour which enable me to overcome adversity in any season. I thank the Lord.
