There is too much power in thanksgiving! Jesus showed us this as He stood by the grave of Lazarus before raising him from the dead. His prayer was simply thanksgiving. “Father I thank thee thou hast heard me.” (John 11:41). After this, He raised His voice and said, “Lazarus come forth.” The dead man arose!
Psalms 100:4-5 says, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” It is God that has brought you into this year. If it wasn’t for Him you would have perished. You are designed to dwell in His presence, this is where your spirit man draws strength and flourishes. You can enter His gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise.
As you pray today,
>Give Him thanks for the year 2017. It is by His grace you are here.
>Be thankful to Him for what He has done so far and what He will do. All good gifts are from above.
>Thank Him for His mercy and His word which endures to all generations.
>Believe, thank Him before you even see your request come to life.
