The responsibility to cleanse yourself has been given to you. All the elements you require are provided. You might have made mistakes before but in the season you could make a change that will revolutionize your life for good.
2 Corinthians 7:1
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
There are many promises that have been given and we need to come to a place where we access them. The problem is that as you go sound filth can contaminate your flesh and spirit which does block access and enjoyment of these promises. The word cleanse here is the word katharizō which means purge or purify. You hold the responsibility to do so. God will not do it for you. You must do it for yourself. As you move around the world, there are stains that come along targeting to contaminate your spirit and flesh. Make it a point you constantly are in God’s presence so as to detox or remove these stains.
You must always purge and purify yourself. Let go that bitterness that contaminates your soul. Forgive those who wrong you. Don’t hold grudges which do not end! All this does not benefit the quality of your life as a believer! Instead it brings you backwards in your progress. As you move into 2016, make it a point that you are in a good place spiritually. This will protect you from an enemy lurking around looking for an opportunity to get in! Remember he goes around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour!
You have a big part to play, not your pastor or anyone else but you! When you become serious with the Lord He becomes serious with you. He says draw near to me and I will draw nigh unto you. You take a step towards Him and He is willing to take steps to you. All I am saying today is that take a new view of your relationship with the Lord. How important is it to you? Don’t play religion, have a relationship with him.
#Take a new grip on Him
#Detox your Spirit and flesh and allow Him to flow through you and your veins.
#You can be a wonder to your community
#Don’t go into a feast now, make it a habit of prayer and fasting.
